The Life Model Decoy storyline on Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D continues to unfold as audiences recently learned that Dr. Radcliffe created an LMD of himself to escape S.H.I.E.L.D’s punishment. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, star Chloe Bennet previewed the upcoming slate of episodes, discussed Daisy’s love life and revealed one wish she has for the series.
Bennet suggested everyone on the series is suspect now that the L.M.D arc has picked up speed.
“No one’s safe. You never know, we could all be robots.”
Bennet stated that the next run of episodes will offer surprises for viewers.
“It’s going to blow people’s minds, because it’s very different, and it’s very relevant. Everyone’s gonna s**t themselves.”
Bennet elaborated, hinting a big changes for the series when all is said and done.
“For the fans that have been watching from day one, you’re going to get a lot out of the back half of the season. The third pod really is a mind bender… It’s going to throw people for a loop. It’s really insane. Everything that you know about the show gets turned upside down… It’s a really fun way to mix up the show.”
Bennet also commented on Daisy’s romantic life, explaining that she is glad the show is focusing on her own struggles as an Inhuman.
“I like that I have no love interest right now. [I like that] her love life isn’t what’s important right now, because there’s lot of other things going on. Women are more than just their love life.”
While Bennet would like to see Daisy find love someday, she’s happy the character is focusing on her own goals at the moment.
“I’m really happy to have her focused on her mental health and fighting for what’s right with Inhumans, because they aren’t treated the right way. She’s really just focused on so many other things.”
Bennet does have a few requirements for anyone love interest who may come Daisy’s way.
“I think she needs someone new. She needs someone who’s not going to die, or turn on her and try to kill her.”
Bennet explains that she feels Daisy is currently not ready for a relationship for the time being.
“I don’t think she’s ready [right now], at all. I think she has a lot of learning to do. They’re doing a really good job of maturing her at a very fast rate. It feels organic, you know, growing alongside the character.”
Bennet revealed that she would love to do a musical episode, explaining that one of her co-stars’ talents is perfectly suited for the concept.
“I would love to do a musical episode. Mostly because I would love to watch everyone else sing. Iain [De Caestecker] is a really good singer…he won’t admit it but I’ve heard him like, humming before. Henry [Simmons] is a really good singer. I don’t know about anyone else.”
However, Bennet is not holding out hope that her wish will come true.
“That would be super fun. I don’t think they’ll ever do it, but a girl can dream.”
