Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. 418#1 – Is May Turning?

Could Mace’s death have led to May starting to regain her memories of who she actually is? Was that nod to Daisy a sign that May is on the side of the right agents again? I’m not entirely convinced, although it definitely seems like May is starting to question whether she should be at Hydra’s side. Like Mack, she may have just not gotten her memories back, but still her ability to see what Hydra actually is. That is one question I hope they make very clear in next week’s episode, especially as we are getting very close now to the end of the season.

Verdict: The “Agents of Hydra” saga continues to be one of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s greatest arcs of all time as each episode is increasing its intensity level while also playing with the fun aspects of a “What If”/virtual reality. Despite having a feeling that Mace would go down at some point this season, his sacrifice was heartbreaking, but have just been the thing that May needed to start getting free out of Hydra’s claws. The surprise appearance of Trip made me thrilled and hopefully we get to see him for a few episodes before the Framework story comes to an end. The introduction of Fitz’s dad intrigues me as I’m certain that something isn’t completely right here.

Grade: A

    1. May doesn’t regret bringing Daisy in but her decision in Bahrain.
    2. Fitz doesn’t say he didn’t tell anyone about Daisy’s DNA. He says he (unlike the agents who beat her) knows that she doesn’t belong into “his world.”
    3. Mace and Coulson don’t inflitrate Triskellion!
