‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’: Ghost Rider Calls Out The Hulk

Ghost Rider & The Hulk

Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was established, fans around the globe have voiced their opinions on which characters they’d like to see introduced next. Last year, Marvel announced that Frank Castle (The Punisher) would make his MCU debut in the second season of Netflix’ Daredevil series. Fans received another big treat this summer when it was revealed that Ghost Rider was making his way to the MCU via Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and once again the internet was set ablaze.

Gabriel Luna was then cast as Robbie Reyes, who’s the lesser known version of Ghost Rider in the comics. Ashley Robinson of Comicbook.com had the opportunity to speak to the actor at the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 premiere. He was directly asked who he would prefer to go toe-to-toe with and his answer was as straightforward as one can be:

“You know what, I want the Hulk. I’m calling you out right now. I’m calling you out Bruce Banner. “

The response is quite intriguing, especially since it’s not a typical match-up you’d think of when creating a one on one fight. This scenario isn’t one that’s likely to happen for a while if at all, within the MCU. However, Chris Pratt did recently say he’d want Star Lord to team up with The Punisher.

Ghost Rider is only creating his foundation right now, so it remains to be seen what sort of major impact he’ll have on the greater universe at hand. It’s a must for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s viewers to receive the character in positive light, rather than a drawback. The character has more than enough qualities that could land him a potential spin-off in the future, but only time will tell.

You can get your first look at Ghost Rider in action when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns tonight at 10 PM EST, on ABC.
