Agents of Shield Madame Hydra

The most recent episode of the series featured Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) making the shocking discovery that the previously defeated Hydra was in the Framework leading to the introduction of the character.

Executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen explained to the magazine why Jansen was perfect for the role:

“Since we’re bringing back Hydra in the Framework, we thought we’d bring it back with a force to be reckoned with. Madame Hydra is a villain with the perfect combo of strength, sexy, and scary. We’ve thrown many challenges Mallory’s way and she’s always up for the task. We’re excited for fans to see how she makes Madame Hydra come to life.”

Jansen made her debut on the series in the fourth season premiere as Aida, a Life Model Decoy created by Dr. Radcliffe (John Hannah). The LMD was based on Agnes Kitsworth, whom Jansen also portrayed this season.

While there are still a lot of things up in the air about the movie, a director hasn’t even been announced yet, things are shaping up well. Nicole Perlman, who penned Guardians of the Galaxy, was tapped to write the screenplay for Captain Marvel, so I’m expecting great things.

Viper was also in The Wolverine, she must be another one of those characters whose studio rights are rather nebulous. Maybe they just keep the names separate and she’s simply Madame Hydra here

Though, in typical Fox fashion, Viper was only Viper on name. they changed everything else about the character. It wasn’t Madame Hydra at all.
