For Alan Tudyk joining the Star Wars universe was a dream come true. Tudyk is taking on the role of K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. K-2SO is a personal security droid.
“It’s one of those things that I don’t know that I’ve even dreamed. My mind hadn’t gone there. And it was fantastic.”
To become the character of K-2SO, Tudyk had to walk around on stilts for 6 months during produciton. The intense setup proved to be a challenge when having to go to the restroom.

Director Gareth Edwards explained that this droid will be the complete antithesis of C-3PO.
Rogue One follows a group of Rebel fighters who come together in order to steal the plans for the Death Star. Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Jonathan Aris.
