Internet Surprised By Alden Ehrenreich In ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Since the it’s debut earlier this weekend, the latest Star Wars film has sadly struggled to at the box office both worldwide and domestically. Most people who went to see it, however, were pleasantly surprised by the film overall. One of the biggest surprises, however, was Alden Ehrenrich’s performance as the younger version of Han Solo. The reactions to his performance are not surprising. The film was hit with a wave of negative publicity following the firing of former directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The reasoning behind their departure was shrouded in mystery but the pieces have been slowly coming together. Towards the end of principle photography the directors reportedly had to get Ehrenreich an acting coach for the part, leading people to believe that he would give a terrible performance. As it turned out, however, it was merely different and enthusiastic. It was just another surprise in a film that turned out to be an overall pleasant treat.

Here is an official plot synopses for the film:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

Directed by Ron Howard from a script written by Lawrence Kasdan and son Jon Kasdan, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, Paul Bettany and Ian Kenny.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters everywhere.
