With filming set to begin next month, director David Gordon Green’s Halloween is slowly beginning to take shape as actress Andi Matichak joins the cast of the upcoming reboot of the classic slasher franchise.
The news was broke earlier today as the Tracking Board reports that the young actress will be crossing paths with Haddonfield’s most infamous resident, Michael Myers as the film’s young lead character alongside Jamie Lee Curtis who returns in the iconic role of Laurie Strode with Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter, Karen. The site is also reporting that Matichak will be portraying the yet unnamed daughter of Greer, making her Curtis’ granddaughter in the film.
While details are still mum in regards to the film’s plot, Green and the film’s co-writer Danny McBride advises that the film will take place after the original 1978 film, ignoring all of the sequels that followed.
