A new cast list for next month’s Ant-Man and the Wasp has spoiled the appearance of one of Ant-Man’s most iconic comic book foes.
Marvel has been marketing the buddy cop-esque angle of Ant-Man and the Wasp while staying pretty hush-hush about the specifics of the story. Even Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet van Dyne has been exempt from the film’s trailers, so it’s no surprise to hear that there may be a secret antagonist in the Marvel film. The film’s official cast list reveals that Elihas Starr, a.k.a. Egghead, will be making an appearance in Ant-Man’s latest big screen adventure.
Michael Cerveris, who played Professor Pyg on Gotham, is listed as playing Hank Pym’s iconic foe. If you’re not familiar with Egghead, he’s essentially Ant-Man’s equivalent of Huge Strange. He’s a mad scientist who became an adversary to Hank Pym after being shunned as a scientist. Egghead used his incredible intelligence to eventually become one of Pym’s most nefarious and brilliant foes.
Here is the synopsis of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp:
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michael Peña as Luis, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Judy Greer as Maggie, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne.

10 Superheroes You Didn’t Know Were In The Fantastic Four
It may sound counter-intuitive, but the Fantastic Four has had more than four members over the years. Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing are the core of the team, but various superheroes have joined Marvel’s first family over the years. While they may be a superhero team, the Fantastic Four are closer to a group of explorers who have to rely on each other and use their wits to get out of sticky situations.
Whether the core members are lost in space or Reed and Susan just need some time away to work on their marriage, the Fantastic Four still have responsibilities. Crime never sleeps, and without the Fantastic Four keeping the world safe, even more villains would hatch their villainous plots. Whether it’s The Thing or someone else yelling, “it’s clobbering time,” the truth stands that the Fantastic Four will always be there to save the day.
