In a new Star Wars: The Last Jedi promo, C-3PO Anthony Daniels shows some new actors playing droid characters the ropes, as several extras portray droid waiters on the luxurious city of Canto Bight.
While Daniels obviously still has his role as C-3PO in the movie, his scenes appear to be limited to the scenes on the Resistance ships and with Leia – which is only fitting, given his status as a protocol droid. However, Daniels was called on for his expertise to help extras get into droid suits and to instruct them to move around just like C-3PO himself, which is demonstrated in the following video:
It’s certainly interesting to see that the marketing has opted to largely avoid showing Canto Bight until very recently, starting with the Chinese trailer. However, it’s looking a lot like the Casino scene might potentially be a standout non-action moment in the movie for the sheer variety of alien and droid designs present in the location. Thank the Maker that they have C-3PO himself to show them how it’s done!
