’Aquaman’ Gets New Screenwriter

As the DC Extended Universe is about to kick off big time in 2016 with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in March, the other upcoming franchises are gearing up both in the creative team and casting department.

One of them is Aquaman who will star Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa as the king of seas and today The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that David Leslie Johnson (Wrath of the Titans) has been hired to write the screenplay with James Wan directing the 2018 film.

Previously it had been reported that Warner Bros. Pictures had hired Kurt Johnstad and Will Beall were writing two separate scripts and whoever’s script was the best one, would be the script that Warner Bros. would go with.

Aquaman is slated to come out in theaters on July 27, 2018.
