Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast is just a couple of months away and news about the movie are starting to get more and more frequent, just yesterday we got a look at new pics of Belle and Beast in a mysterious looking room and Gaston inciting the villagers.
And now the studio has confirmed that Ariana Grande and John Legend are set to perform a duet of the movie’s title track. This was teased by Grande days ago by posting a photo to Instagram with a wilting rose emoji during her recording session, a clear nod to the film’s Enchanted Rose.
The original song, which is also named Beauty and the Beast, was written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and was performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for the 1991 animated classic. Winning an Academy Award, Golden Globe and a Grammy.
The music video is set to be directed by the Grammy Award winner Dave Meyers, and the complete sound track will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10.
Directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Emma Thompson, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is set to hit theaters on March 17.
