‘Arrow’ Season 7 Character Breakdowns May Offer Details On Batwoman

Arrow Stephen Amell Batwoman DC Comics ArrowverseThat Hashtag Show has unveiled new character breakdowns for the seventh season of Arrow that may offer new details on Batwoman.

In May, Arrow star Stephen Amell and CW President Mark Pedowitz announced that Batwoman would be joining the Arrowverse heroes in this year’s crossover event, marking the first live-action portrayal of the DC heroine. With production on the seventh season of Arrow set to begin this month, new casting details for a character named “Angeline” may offer fans insight into the Arrowverse’s depiction of Batwoman.

Set to be a recurring character on Arrow, the role of “Angeline” is described  as follows:

“[…] a diverse woman in her 30s, she is a fierce fighter despite of her smaller stature. Not only is she experienced in stealth, “Angeline” is able to wipe out buildings filled with foes all by herself before she is gone like a ghost. It will be made very clear that “Angeline” thinks incredibly highly of her work.”

While “Angeline” could be an original creation or a codename for a different DC hero, the outlet notes that the mention of the character’s fighting skills and ability to disappear quickly perfect describes Kate Kane, Batwoman’s alter-ego.

Additional character breakdowns include descriptions for a character named “Dover,” who is described as a “physically imposing” male in his 30s to 40s, and a highly-skilled world-class mercenary named “Leah.”

“There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.”

Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Rick Gonzalez, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, and Katie Cassidy.

Arrow season 7 premieres on Monday, October 15th at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
