‘Arrow’: Dinah Drake Will Get A New Love Interest In Season 6

ArrowOne of the new characters we met in the fifth season of Arrow was Juliana Harkavy’s Dinah Drake, played by Juliana Harkavy who joined the team when Oliver Queen began his quest to find the next Black Canary. Harkavy is set to return to the show as a series regular for Season 6 where we will see her officially suit up as the new Canary.

In the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room with Natalie Abrams, a fan asked for some new information about the upcoming season of Arrow. Abrams revealed a quote from executive producer and showrunner Wendy Mericle who confirmed that Dinah will be getting a new love interest in Season 6. Even though viewers noticed some sparks between Dinah and John Diggle (David Ramsey) in Season 5, Mericle confirmed that a Diggle/Dinah romance isn’t happening.

“I would say yes for that, but I’m not going to tell you with who, because that’s a fun story we’re very excited about. Not Diggle. That’s what’s so much fun.”

While there is always the chance that it’s going to be a completely new character, there’s always the chance that Dinah could hook up with one of the existing characters. With the cast and producers set to appear at next week’s San Diego Comic-Con, maybe we will get some new information on Dinah’s new love interest.

“After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”

Arrow Season 6 premieres on Thursday, October 12 at 9/8c on The CW.

The Top 6 Sorcerers In The DC Universe

Previous1 of 7

The DC Universe is full of sorcerers running wild. Some side with the heroes while others fall in line with the villains. No matter which side of the spectrum they fall on, they are some of the most powerful figures in DC comics. Superman might be considered the most mighty of all the superheroes, but even some of the weakest sorcerers can take him down without breaking a sweat.

Don’t be mad characters like the Spectre and Etrigan aren’t on the list! They’re definitely powerful, but I like to think about them as entities instead of traditional sorcerers. A list focusing on DC Universe’s magical entities is a thing for another time.

For now, hit Next to find out more about the top sorcerers in the DCU!
