Ever since Barry Allen first showed up on Supergirl’s world, Earth-38, all bets are off when it comes from characters on the main Earth-1 of the Arrowverse showing up on another world. With the exception of Black Lightning as of now, all of the Greg Berlanti DCCW shows are, whether directly or indirectly, connected. At the end of the Invasion crossover, Cisco Ramon provided Supergirl with a interdimensional extrapolator, which would and has allowed characters from her show to travel to Earth-1. However, it seems that Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards would also like to pay Earth-38 a visit.
As a main character on Arrow, Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak has her fair share of appearances on The Flash and appeared on Legends of Tomorrow as well- albeit in an alternate reality- and while Felicity has already met Supergirl during both the Invasion and Crisis on Earth-X crossovers, she’s yet to actually appear on Earth-38. But Rickards certainly wouldn’t say no to such a possibility.
While being interviewed as part of the BUILD series, Rickards was asked by a fan if she would ever appear on Supergirl outside of the crossovers:
“I think, yeah, I think that that is definitely a possibility I don’t see why it wouldn’t be,” Rickards said. “We’ve sort of broken all the rules that sort of make it not a possibility, so I feel like we should do that, and I think that it would be my preferred show to cross over to in general because it’s Supergirl.”
You can watch Rickards’ response to the question in the video below at the 25:50 mark:
Indeed, with interdimensional travel a reality on the Arrowverse, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Felicity to show up on Supergirl’s world. There would need to be a motivation for it, though. Between Flash and Supergirl, there were plot-related reasons for their respective shows that justified how they traveled to each other’s worlds. Admittedly, Barry showed up on Earth-38 while testing his speed, but it was still the first instance of the characters traveling to one another’s worlds.
However, given the events of the recent season finale of Arrow, which ended with Oliver Queen being incarcerated, Felicity may have to stay put for the time being. Supergirl currently airs on Monday nights at 8:00 pm on The CW.
10 DC Comics Characters That Need To Appear On ‘Arrow’
Arrow is one of the most important shows in modern memory. It started the current age of superhero shows on the air. While Smallville was on the air for ten seasons it never truly inspired anything in its time on the air, but Arrow hit its target at the right moment and a time when audiences were craving more superhero stories. From it, The CW generated four more superhero shows, creating the now called “Arrowverse.”
The show has introduced a wide range of heroes and villains from the comics. From major players (The Flash, Ra’s al Ghul, Deathstroke) to some truly obscure characters only hardcore DC fans would know (Wild Dog, Vigilante, Damien Darhk) it is always a great treat to find out which character will make the leap from the page to Star City.
Now, Arrow is wrapping up its sixth season, and while no seventh season has officially been ordered fans can still fantasize about what is to come. Here are ten characters that should appear on the show! Click Next to get started.
