While we learned that Adrian Chase (born Simon Morrison) is the villainous Prometheus on Arrow, there is still one big question we haven’t gotten an answer to: who the heck is Vigilante? In the comics lore we know that Adrian is actually Vigilante, but since the TV show is taking a different approach, it could be anyone.
In a new interview with Screener TV, Marc Guggenheim spoke about it being someone that we have seen before as he isn’t a big fan of introducing mystery characters only to reveal them to be someone we have never seen before. Guggenheim also confirmed that we will find out in Season 6 who Vigilante actually is.
“We know who it is, but we were kind of intrigued by the idea of having a mystery that led into the next season. We were excited at the prospect of just letting this play out for a little while longer, and it gives us something cool to do in Season 6. As a general rule, I’m not a fan of mystery characters who when you take off the mask the audience goes, ‘What a minute, I’ve never seen that person before in my life. I’m probably not spoiling anything by saying whoever’s underneath the Vigilante mask, you’ve seen that person before.”
