CW’s hit show Arrow has been a dark origin story for Oliver Queen the past three seasons now. According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, though, things are about to get a little lighter.
Season 4 may be the show’s largest transition yet. Along with Oliver Queen now finally dawning the Green Arrow mantle instead of just being called ‘Arrow’, Marc Guggenheim says the show is going to shed its darker tone that has drawn comparisoms to Batman Begins. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Guggenheim said:

After speaking on this matter, Guggenheim also teased a character fans have been clamoring to see on Arrow forever: Green Lantern! While not doing anything earth-shattering like confirming an appearance, Guggenheim decided to tease what we may or may not see of everyone’s favorite Coast City hero:
