‘King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword’: Badass New Images Hit

Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of The Sword is one of my most anticipated films of 2017. Following the director’s brilliantly underrated, The Man From UNCLE, Ritchie adapts the classic King Arthur tale. Starring Pacific Rim‘s Charlie Hunnam and Sherlock Holmes‘ Jude Law, the film looks absolutely bonkers; in a perfect way. The film (if successful) may warrant not only a sequel, but possible spin-off movies, could we be looking at a King Arthur Cinematic Universe? If audiences respond well to this first film, that is.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ritchie discussed the possibility of tackling the world if King Arthur once more. Ritchie stated:

“As much as anything, I enjoy the process of filmmaking. Going back to Sherlock was very fun. Going back into this would be great fun. I like the world. I like Charlie. I liked everyone I worked with. It’s just a world that I’d like to stay within for a while. It’s not like there aren’t enough stories to be told within the mythology of Arthur and all of the characters within it with Merlin, with the sword, with Guinevere, with Lancelot. There are lots of untapped narrative still to be dealt with.”

If the movie’s trailer is anything to go buy, this film should be awesome. However, that is rarely the case. Hopefully, Ritchie can deliver another film as good, if not better, than The Man From UNCLE. You can also check out some images from the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of The Sword below:

So, are you guys excited for Ritchie’s upcoming film? I for one cannot wait! Would you like to see follow-ups and sequels? One more, but would you like to see Ritchie tackle a superhero film? The director will be busy as he is directing the live-action adaption of Disney’s Aladdin.

King Arthur: Legend of The Sword hits theatres everywhere on May 12, 2017.

The young Arthur runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew, not knowing his royal lineage until he grabs Excalibur. Instantly confronted by the sword’s influence, Arthur is forced to make up his mind. Joining the rebellion and an enigmatic young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to address her and eventually understand her magic weapon, deal with his demons and unite the people to defeat the dictator Vortigern, the man who murdered his parents and stole his crown to become king.
