ArtistBossLogic has released a new piece that imagines Thor star Chris Hemsworth as the DC Extended Universe’s Aquaman.
There are plenty of actors who play multiple roles across various comic book movies. Chris Evans played Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, in multiple Fantastic Four movies before playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America. Even Zachary Levi played Fandral in the Thor sequels and will now be starring as the titular hero in next year’s DCEU installment Shazam!.
Artist BossLogic recently took to Instagram to do something similar by imagining if Thor: Ragnarok star Chris Hemsworth went from playing the God of Thunder to playing the King of Atlantis, Aquaman. The underwater hero will be headlining the upcoming DC Extended Universe film and although the character was a fan favorite of 2017’s Justice League, some fans may be surprised by how perfect Hemsworth looks in the Aquaman role. Check out the awesome artwork below to see for yourself whether you prefer Momoa or Hemsworth as the DC Comics icon.
Aquaman has been the butt of many jokes but over the years, some creators have gone out of their way to portray a much more hardened, warrior version of the hero. Momoa captures that side of Aquaman pretty perfectly but when compared to the character in the comics, BossLogic has made this Hemwsworth version look like he stepped right out of the comics.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Aquaman and Thor in any medium as soon as more information becomes available. What do you think of the artwork?
