AT&T is reportedly looking to sell Warner Bros’ gaming division, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment with several other publishers reportedly interested.

Warner Bros. has been something of an anomaly in the gaming publishing world. While other big film studios like Disney opt to license out the video game right to their properties, the company ops keep many of its properties inhouse with its own game publishing division known as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment or WB Games. Under this banner, the company has published several modern masterpieces such as the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor games, the Batman: Arkham games, and the last three Mortal Kombat games and holds the licenses for other properties like the Harry Potter franchise. Now, however, that may be coming to a close under the new ownership of AT&T

According to a new report from CNBC, Warner Bros parent company, AT&T is looking to sell off the company’s gaming division. If sold, the price tag for WB Games could be as high as $4B. The report also states that other gaming mega publishers like Take-Two Interactive, Electronic Arts, and Activision Blizzard. No deal has reportedly been reached with spokespeople at AT&T and Take-Two declining to comment and those at EA and Activision weren’t available before the report’s publication.
