Auli’i Cravalho Wants Disney To Make Another Moana Film

With the release of Moana on Blu-ray, Auli’i Cravalho has spoken out about the desire for a sequel in an interview with CinemaBlend. Cravalho, who voiced the titular character, feels her independence makes her worthy for future appearances.

I am getting ready for anything Disney really throws my way, I love Moana…and if the directors and producers decide to make another journey for Moana I will be happy to join in on that. … I would love to see more adventures that Moana would go on. She’s strong and independent. She doesn’t have a love interest which I think is really important that she is taking control of her own journey.

Disney films usually don’t get sequels sadly, or at least ones which aren’t straight to disc. A Frozen sequel is in the works however, so should that do well, it may be more likely to see another sequel.

The epic journey continues for “Moana” fans as Walt Disney Animation Studios introduces an all-new sing-along version of the hit, critically-lauded comedy-adventure “Moana.” From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui, and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds.

Moana is now available on Digital HD, as well as Blu-ray and DVD.
