Avengers 4 has already finished shooting. This is hard to imagine when you consider the Avengers: Infinity War still hasn’t released in theatres. Very little is known about the film. We’ve seen some set photos here and there, but that’s about it. The official title of the sequel hasn’t been announced. Although, we do know the title of the film will spoil the events of Infinity War. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who play Scarlet Witch and Vision, revealed to Digital Spy that not even the cast knows the film’s official title.
When asked if she knew the title, Olsen had this to say:
“No. Someone just told us that they were going to release it after this movie.”
Bettany then confirmed that they’ve just been referring to it as Avengers 4. Even the script for the film doesn’t have the full story, as Olsen explained it “has a bunch of lies in it.” Bettany further detailed the script-reading process and the secrecy it entails:
“…They give you your pages that pertain to your character, and then they orally explain to you what’s happening in the rest of the movie.”
Marvel’s secrecy when it comes to their films can be frustrating at time. However, it’s shocking to know that the cast is kept similarly uninformed. It looks like the wait for the official title of Avengers 4 won’t be too much longer, as Infinity War hits theatres next week. Still, it’s unlikely we will be getting the announcement right after the film’s debut.
What do you think the mysterious title could be? Let us know down in the comments! Here is the synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:
