Today, Marvel’s September 2018 solicitations were unveiled and it was announced that they were issuing a new printing of Avengers Forever, potentially offering a clue on the story of the untitled fourth Avengers film.
Originally released 20 years ago, Avengers Forever told the story of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes traveling through time and crossing paths with alternate versions of the team in different time periods. Many believe that the fourth Avengers film will have a similar plot, considering our heroes may have to alter the course of history in order to reverse Thanos’ actions at the end of Infinity War.
Of course, while Marvel could simply be reprinting the Avengers Forever to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the title, the comic book publisher has a noted history of pushing characters and stories to help promote their introduction in the movies.
