‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Writers On Deleted Scenes & ‘Avengers 4’

Avengers Infinity War Marvel Stephen McfeeleyWARNING: This post contains major spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War was a massive undertaking for the film’s writers and fans are very curious to learn what was shot but did not make it into the film.

Marvel fans are notorious for their desire of hours of extras on their favorite film’s Blu-Ray. The one thing they most look forward to is the deleted scenes. It is always cool to see what could have been and what might hint at the potential future of a franchise. So fans of Infinity War are dying to know what will be on the films Blu-ray. In a recent interview the writers, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, revealed some game-changing news regarding some of the deleted scenes from Infinity War and what this means for Avengers 4.

Collider: “So what was stuff that you actually shot that didn’t make it in the finished film? Are you allowed to say?”

Stephen McFeeley: “We’re not allowed to say all of them.”

Christopher Markus: “We’re not allowed to say all of them and some of them….”

Collider: “Is it because some of that still might actually be used for the net one?”

Stepehn McFeeley: “Yes.”

Christopher Markus: “Sometimes and also sometimes there just not good.”

McFeeley very nonchalantly confirmed that some of the scenes filmed in Infinity War that didn’t make the cut would be featured in the films follow-up Avengers 4. As for what isn’t in the next Avengers film, the two could not confirm which deleted scenes would be on the Blu-Ray, but they did discuss a longer version of the scene with Tony Stark and Pepper Pottts. The version featured more MCU cameos and director Joe Russo. It went off plot and was eventually changed to fit the tone of the final film.

So there will be a good amount of deleted scenes for Marvel fans to gush over when Infinity War releases on Blu-Ray on August 14th and whatever they don’t see will most likely be in Avengers 4 which hits theaters next year.

10 Marvel & DC Villains Who Can Take Down Thanos

Previous1 of 11

Thanos Marvel DC Comics Darkseid GalactusThanos may have just taken down some of Marvel’s finest superheroes in Avengers: Infinity War, but he’s not the deadliest villain in comics. Both DC and Marvel are full of characters who are more powerful than the Mad Titan.

Admittedly, whenever Thanos is in possession of all six infinity stones he is the most powerful being in the universe, but anyone can harness that power if they successfully gather all the necessary components. If anything, Thanos is just incredibly patient and willing to wait to achieve his goals, a trait not many supervillains in DC or Marvel have. With the gauntlet, Thanos is essentially an immortal God who can snap his fingers and turn entire worlds to dust, but without it he’s just another villain who wants to rule the universe. He’s clearly a strong and terrifying guy, but if he were to face any of these villains without his Gauntlet, Thanos would be in big trouble.
