‘Avengers: Infinity War’ To Be The Final Chapter Of Marvel’s 10 Year Book

Avengers Infinity War Thanos Josh Brolin MarvelIn a recent press conference, Avengers: Infinity War director, Joe Russo, described the film as the final chapter in Marvel’s 10 year book.

During the interview he described the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a ten year long book and that Infinity War would be it’s final chapter before the next book would begin:

“If Marvel’s been writing a book for the past 10 years with these movies, Infinity War is the final chapter of that book. Then there’ll be a new book written, and that will be the next phase of Marvel.”

Such sentiments have been echoed elsewhere. Infinity War writer Stephen Mcfeely has mentioned how this film is the one that all others were built up to and would be paying off what has been teased since the debut of the first Avengers film back in 2012. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has expressed similar feelings in the past, hinting that the MCU would be a much different place after Avengers 4. But we’ll have to wait to see what exactly this all means when the film debuts later this month.

Here is the synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner and Paul Rudd.
