After almost ten years, it’s hard to believe that we are only seven months away from the release of Avengers: Infinity War, the massive universe-wide team-up film that the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building to since 2008’s Iron Man. Anyone who has seen the D23/SDCC teaser can tell you that this film looks to be pulling off this task wonderfully. Even the film’s stars are impressed.
While doing the rounds to promote his new film Blade Runner 2049, Dave Bautista spoke to Comic Book Resources about the epic feel of the next Avengers film. The actor stated:
“I’ve seen the little teaser trailers that they’ve put together, and it feels big. It feels enormous. It’s really exciting. Yeah, I’m excited, but my dream was to really interact with Robert Downey Jr., and it’s gonna happen.” [Laughs]
The Guardians of the Galaxy star elaborated further on working with RDJ, saying the actor was everything he needed him to be:
“He was, man. I met him well before we started. Well before we even were announced for this, I went to the second Avengers premiere in London, and he went out of his way to come up to me and tell me how much he loved Guardians. That was a big deal to me, you know? That was a huge deal to me. So I already knew kind of who he was as a person and what he was about before we got on set, so I felt comfortable with him.”
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Starlord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautisa as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Karen Gillan as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange, Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Benedict Wong as Wong, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 is slated for a May 3, 2019 release.

Top 5 Moments From D23’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Sneak Peek
Disney broke the internet on Saturday when they showed the first footage from Avengers: Infinity War at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. Lucky for all you guys, I was in the room and made a mental list of all the best moments from the teaser. While the movie only just reached the production half-way mark, the footage director Joe Russo showed to the audience still included some epic moments.
It wasn’t a trailer per se — more so just a compilation of random moments designed to excite the audience. Whatever you want to call it, it did a great job of expressing how emotionally charged this movie will be. Remember, this is the conclusion of nearly ten years worth of stories, so expect some big action and tear jerking moments as Marvel Studios starts to shift towards Phase 4 and a new game plan.
