‘Avengers’ Star Jeremy Renner Accuses Ex-Wife Of Misusing Daughter’s Trust Fund

Avengers star Jeremy Renner accused his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco of misusing money from their daughter’s trust fund in new court documents.

PEOPLE has obtained documents there were filed by Avengers star Jeremy Renner this past Thursday. In them, Renner claims that his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco took nearly $50,000 from their 7-year-old daughter’s savings account over a period of two years.

“In an email to Mr. Renner’s business manager, Jeffrey Jacobs, dated April 23, 2019, [Pacheco] admitted transferring funds from the minor’s trust account to her personal account in violation of the Court’s Order, stating: ‘The money transfers to my bank were to keep my afloat/provide [the minor] Christmas presents/birthday gift bags and essentials for her bday party – after all my savings were spent on lawyers/child custody evaluator.”

Later that month, Jeremy Renner alleged that Pacheco took an additional $10,000 from the trust fund, something that his ex-wife addressed in an email to the actor’s business manager. He also accused Pacheco of using as much as $32,000 from the account to pay for her attorney’s fees.

“[Pacheco told] Jacobs in an email eight months later, ‘Please note the number of $10,701.40 was taken out of this account to pay my property taxes for 6 months. Once again this year like the past years, mine and [A.R.]’s savings have been drained from attorney fees.”

In a statement to the website, Sonni Pacheco fired back at Jeremy Renner, saying that she’s “sick of being continually bullied, having my name slandered, and the truth muted.” The statement also includes the following:

“Anyone who is a parent knows that the most important thing in the world is their child’s health and safety. Over the years it’s hard to fathom what I’ve seen and what people have told me they’ve seen in regards to Jeremy’s disturbing actions while our child is in his care. Unfortunately, these actions have landed me in a position to need to retain legal support, undergo a child custody evaluation, and now have a plan parent coordinator. It is hard for me to stay muted because, after all this time, money, and energy spent putting safety measures in place to keep our daughter safe while once again in Jeremy’s care, these measures are still being violated as of today.”

Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco have been going through a long custody battle, with the latter claiming the Avengers star threatened to kill her and himself while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. These allegations have been denied by Jeremy Renner, who says that his ex-wife is an “unstable liar.”

During last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Jeremy Renner is set to reprise his role as Clint Barton for a Disney Plus series that will introduce audiences to Kate Bishop. At the time, Renner’s Hawkeye series was expected to begin shooting sometime this year, but there’s a chance that this may no longer be the case due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Jeremy Renner was last seen on the big screen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios epic:
