‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Vin Diesel Wants Groot & Hulk To “Get Down”

Vin DieselVin Diesel has a lot to be excited about in 2017. This weekend, xXx: Return of Xander Cage opens in theaters. In the coming months, we will also see Dominic Toretto turn on his family in The Fate of the Furious, and of course, Baby Groot is guaranteed to win the hearts of audiences once Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters.

The Guardians are expected to appear in the Russo Bros’ much-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War, and one of the most-anticipated interactions within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is between Groot and Bruce Banner/Hulk. While promoting his newest xXx film, Diesel answered that he is definitely on board with the prospects of having Groot cross paths with the Incredible Hulk:

Good question. I’m excited about Baby Groot; he’s just too fun. And in Infinity War, I have to talk to the Russo brothers and find out how this is all gonna go down. I know somewhere in the Marvel universe there is a moment when you will see Groot and Hulk have a few words.

I think there’s gonna be a moment that we’re all waiting for, and whether you know it or not, you are waiting to see Groot and the Hulk get down.

Seeing both Vin Diesel and Mark Ruffalo as their respective Marvel heroes onscreen together would be a sight to behold. I can already imagine what their conversations would be like. But will we see them meet in Avengers: Infinity War? I’d like to believe that the Russo Bros would not want to miss out on this opportunity. Given their track record with the MCU, they know how to handle fan service quite well – and it was demonstrated to the nth degree with the airport sequence in Captain America: Civil War. The prospect of seeing Groot and Hulk together is too good of a moment not to capture.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters on May 5th.

  • Hulk wins, I’d say.

Man, these statements from Marvel are so dumb and lame.
