Based on the classic television show of the same name, Baywatch is the latest vehicle for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron. The two box office giants will co-star in the upcoming big-budget adaptation of the iconic 90s program. The film features an incredibly talented cast including, Johnson’s San Andreas co-star, Alexandra Daddario and Aquman villain, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The movie is set to be directed by Seth Gordon, who has helmed such hits as Horrible Bosses and Identity Theft. To be completely honest, this movie looks all kinds of bombastic. In a really, really good way. As far as adapting Baywatch goes, I think Gordon and co. have this one covered. The film has been gifted the glorious R-rating, which means we can expect to laugh… a lot.

So, how do you guys feel about this? In a world where every big-screen adaptation “ruins” someone’s childhood, I have seen nothing but praise for this project, which, to be honest, is really damn nice. I cannot wait to see what Johnson and co. have in store for us, but here’s hoping its some damn good fun.
Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and a brash new recruit (Zac Efron) uncover a criminal plot that threatens the future of the bay.

10 Actors Who Could Portray Nightwing In His Standalone Film
Dick Grayson is one of the most iconic characters in the DC universe. Since the character’s debut in 1940, Grayson aka Robin went on to become Nightwing and also stepped into the shoes of Batman, when Bruce Wayne was rumored to be dead. Despite his comics status, the character has had a rather difficult time on-screen. Apart from the early movie serials, and the iconic 1960s Batman TV show, Grayson has struggled to appear on screen as a serious film character. His portrayal by Chris O’Donnell in Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and Batman & Robin was met with a mixed, to negative response from critics and fans. Ironically, the only Grayson performance that has been rather well received was Michael Cera’s performance in this month’s animated comedy, The LEGO Batman Movie.
Following the success of that film, it was revealed that Chris McKay (director of The LEGO Batman Movie) would helm a live-action Nightwing film, set within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Previously, Grayson was set to appear on TNT’s Titans TV show, before that seemed to be cancelled. With a new film based on the character in the works, it left us over at Heroic Hollywood wondering; who could play this iconic role?
