Batman v Superman: Tracking Indicates $300M-$340M Worldwide Opening

Could Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice be one of the largest box offices opening of all time? The film officially registered on tracking reports this morning. Reports are indicating that the film could open worldwide between $300-$340M. Batman v Superman will open on over 30K screens.

If these numbers are correct, Zack Snyder’s BvS would come in fifth behind over heavy comic book hitters like Avengers($392.5M), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($392.5M) and Iron Man 3 ($372.5M).

BvS is opening in all markets including China on March 25.

Looking towards domestic numbers, it appears that BvS could bring in an estimated $120M-$140M.

Advanced tickets for showings have already gone on sale.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.  And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Those box-office numbers for the domestic seem way too low considering the attention it’s getting in terms of tickets sold. I think the domestic opening is going to be 150-175 weekend. I don’t agree that it will make 200 opening weekend. But who knows? I might be dead wrong!!!!

yea that number seems waaaaaaay too low for the domestic opening im thinking more in the neighborhood of 160-185 for the weeeknd

Depends on the critical reception it has, if it’s divisive like Man of Steel, I’d expect it to go more 130-150, if it’s received well i could see it go upto 170-180. I feel that WB is gonna hold their cards up to their chest and cool off on the early reviews and settle for a lower opening and stronger legs.

No way BvS will make less than Hunger Games on opening weekend.

I think this is tracking, which is never really accurate. Reality should have it higher

There is no doubt this movie will make a shit-ton of money. But who cares? Will it be good? That’s what I want to know. I’d like to hear what people at advanced screenings are saying. I really want this movie to be awesome but so far nothing has really gotten me excited for it.
