‘Baywatch’: ‘Baes Of The Bay’ Promo Released

BaywatchParamount Pictures has released a new promo for the upcoming R-rated film reboot of the hit ’90s series Baywatch starring Dwayne Johnson.

Baywatch follows Lieutenant of the LA County Lifeguards Mitch Buchannon (Johnson) and lifeguard Matt Brody (Zac Efron) as they team up to foil a criminal plot that threatens the future of the bay designed by the villainous oil tycoon Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra).

The series about lifeguards shot on location on the beaches of Santa Monica, CA which debuted in 1989 was a major hit. Baywatch starred Knight Rider himself, David Hasselhoff, A.K.A. The Hoff as well as Pamela Anderson who originally played lifeguard CJ Parker on the series. Both stars are set to make appearances in the upcoming film.

The new promo showcases the strong female characters at the center of the action and teases the baes of the bay are not your average baes. You can check it out below.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, Priyanka Chopra, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Pamela Anderson, and David Hasselhoff. Here’s the official synopsis:

BAYWATCH follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Zac Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

Baywatch hits theaters May 25.
