The latest instalment in Marvel’s ever growing Cinematic Universe, Doctor Strange, has just hit US theatres after a slightly earlier release across the rest of the world. Marvel have now released a new featurette focusing on the lifestyle of Steven Strange before he becomes the magic-wielding superhero who will appear in Avengers: Infinity War. You can check out the featurette embedded below.

The clip looks at how Steven Strange lived before his car accident, forcing him to seek a way to fix his mangled hands so as to return to his profession. The main focus of the clip is the car Strange is driving when he crashes – a Lamborghini Hurucan. Apparently the crew were given 6 cars for the film, 2 for the Special FX team, 2 for the stunt team and 2 to be wrecked during the crash.

The Picture Vehicle Supervisor, Ian Clarke, spoke about the experience of filming with the Hurucan and why that car in particular was chosen for the movie.

“The car’s fantastic and the cars performed extremely well. We liked the idea of the Lamborghini because it helped establish the prestige level that Doctor Strange was living life at. But then he is an accident that mangles his hands and if effectively takes away his life as neurosurgeon.”

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton, Doctor Strange is out in theatres now.

From Marvel comes Doctor Strange, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey.
