Ben Affleck Explains Differences Between DC & Marvel Movies

The beef between Dc and Marvel is heating up!

First, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara back in March fired the opening shot on the difference between DC Comics and Marvel movies. Tsujihara said,

The worlds of DC are very different. They’re steeped in realism, and they’re a little bit edgier than Marvel’s movies.

Oh snap! Then, recently, Warner Bros. President Greg Silverman offered his two cents on what his studio saw as the differences between DC Comics and Marvel movies.  He said,

There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters,” he said. “The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren’t making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There’s also humor, which is an important part.

Now Batman himself, Ben Affleck is getting in on the beef on the difference between DC Comics and Marvel movies and said the following to EW in the comic con preview issue,

It is more mythic, it is more grand in that way, and it is a little more realistic,” said Affleck. “Just by their nature, these films can’t be as funny or as quick or as glib as Marvel movies.

Glib as Marvel Movies yo? OH DAMN!

Like I keep telling you ladies and gents, DC vs Marvel is the new beef in hip hop!
