Bill Skarsgard Becomes The Joker To Face Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ In Awesome New Fan Art

Fans can get an idea for what to expect should Warner Bros. cast the former IT actor as the next Clown Prince of Crime.

It: Chapter Two star Bill Skarsgard transforms into The Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman in a cool concept design.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman. which features Robert Pattinson succeeding Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight, is rumored to tease the introduction of a new Joker who could later appear in sequels to the 2021 DC Comics film. While there haven’t been any rumors or rumblings as far as who Reeves could be eyeing to play the next version of Batman’s most iconic foe, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining who they would like to see take on the role. A new concept design from digital artist britedit gives fans an idea of what Skasrgard could look like as the Joker. Skarsgard himself is no stranger to playing clowns, as the actor brought Pennywise the Dancing Clown to life in Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s IT.

While the Joker is only rumored for the film’s sequels, Reeves’ The Batman has been confirmed to feature a rogues’ gallery of villains including Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. As for Warner Bros.’ latest iteration of the Joker, Todd Phillips has confirmed Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the character will not appear opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Plot details for The Batman are under wraps but the project will be centered on Pattinson as a younger Caped Crusader, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. The film is also expected to be the first installment to a new trilogy with Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
