MAJOR SPOILER WARNING: The following article contains spoilers regarding Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Read at your own risk.
After its record-breaking run at the box office, Marvel’s Black Panther is now available to own through numerous formats. Now, fans have the opportunity to revisit Ryan Coogler’s landmark film as many times as one chooses – so much so, that observant fans can spot interesting tie-ins to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well seeing the film through different eyes, knowing about what happens in Avengers: Infinity War.
One of those observant viewers was Markeia McCarty, who shared a snippet of the film’s End Credits on Twitter, realizing that this particular moment in the credits was a warning about Avengers: Infinity War:

What McCarty is specifically referring to is how this dust-in-the-wind style of animation for Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa is similar to what happens to him at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. After Thanos (Josh Brolin) retrieves all the Infinity Stones and snaps his fingers, half of all existence in the universe is erased – including T’Challa, who fades away and turns into dust in the wind.
Obviously, remarkable End Credits designs are reflective of the beautiful aesthetic of the film itself. Also, the same dust-in-the-wind style of animation is applied to the depictions of other characters in the credits. Whether or not this was a deliberative choice to hint at Avengers: Infinity War is up for debate, but now with both films within the public consciousness, one cannot help but see just how eerie this moment in the Black Panther credits really is.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown, John Kani and Andy Serkis. Here’s the synopsis:
“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
Black Panther is now available on Digital HD and 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD.
10 DC Comics Stories That Could Top ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
Now that general audiences have seen Avengers: Infinity War, nothing will ever be the same for the DC films. Avengers: Infinity War feels more like an event starring everyone’s favorite characters than a traditional movie, and it will be hard for Warner Bros. to replicate that feeling of excitement for their comic book movies. DC’s counter-part to Avengers, Justice League, didn’t achieve nearly the same level of success and now the studio has to think of a new plan to get their cinematic universe chugging along.
Fortunately, DC Comics has a huge repertoire of epic, personal stories to explore for cinematic potential. While Thanos may be more destructive than the villains in some of these stories, that doesn’t mean these adventures don’t result in real, destructive changes in the DC Universe. After forcing DC’s finest heroes to fight Doomsday and Steppenwolf, two of the publisher’s strongest villains, on the big screen so early in the cinematic universe’s history, WB may want to step back and focus on personal stories. Even if none of these plotlines make it to the big screen, and if they do they would all require some major tweaking, they are all excellent examples of DC’s finest work.
