Black Panther can add another box-office milestone to its list: being the highest grossing film at 33 AMC theatres. Essentially, the film has earned more at those 33 locations over the past two days than any other movie has in an entire weekend.
Those are pretty large numbers, especially considering how AMC is the largest theatre chain in the world. AMC hasn’t revealed which theatres are part of the 33, nor how much each theatre made from the film, but it should be noted that there were 83 showings at the AMC Southlake 24 in Atlanta on Friday.
Black Panther has been making great strides at the box office, taking in over $75 million on Friday. With an A+ CinemaScore and certified fresh rating on Rottem Tomatoes, the film is expected to make anywhere between $175 million to $210 million this weekend.
