‘Black Panther’ Fan Imagines Wakanda’s World Cup Uniforms

Artist Mark Yesilevskiy rendered some concepts for a Wakandan World Cup Team, taking inspiration from the distinct visual style of Black Panther.

Wakanda may not be a real country, but the fictional homeland of Black Panther has resonated with audiences in an unprecedented way. Surely we all wish we could see a Wakandan World Cup team wipe the floor with the competition. Luckily, we have Yesilevskiy to provide a visual aid for fans dreaming about such a sporting event:

The first design is actually based on the Dora Milaje, Black Panther’s bodyguards. The second, as you may have guessed, is based on Black Panther himself. These designs kind of make you want a superhero sports league. However, soccer might not be the right sport for the entire Marvel stable.

So, what do you think? Would you want to see Black Panther kick some butt in the World Cup? Let us know down in the comments!

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke,  Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, Andy Serkis and John Kan.

Black Panther is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
