Bob Iger Says Marvel Cinematic Universe Can Go On ‘Forever’; More ‘Star Wars’ Films On The Way

Did you have any concern that eventually we would see Disney slow down when it came to Star Wars and Marvel Studios films? Well, you likely shouldn’t but in case you had some concerns about either franchise, this will ease your fears. While speaking with Newsbeat, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that you are going to be getting plenty more coming your way when it comes to both Star Wars and Marvel Studios releases.

The studio has announced plans for Star Wars films for the next five years but what about beyond those releases? Well, according to Iger there “will be more after that, I don’t know how many, I don’t know how often.”

As far as Marvel Studios goes, don’t expect the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be coming to an end or rebooting any time soon.

Marvel, you’re dealing with thousands and thousands of characters – that will go on forever.

And he’s right. With a vast amount of characters that they’ve yet to explore and more being added to their cinematic universe every day, there’s no shortage of resources when it comes to the MCU. But where will they take it beyond Infinity War? With Inhumans kicking off Phase Four, could we see the Marvel Cinematic Universe adapt a storyline much like the recent Inhumanity one that ran throughout the comics? Sound off with your thoughts on the subject in the comments below.
