007 is returning to the big screen.
Today, Eon Productions and MGM officially announced that the yet-to-be titled twenty-fifth installment in the James Bond series is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 8, 2019. The film is being penned by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the writers behind Daniel Craig’s four Bond movies.
However, there’s no word yet on whether or not Craig himself will be back to the role he first played in 2006’s Casino Royale. Craig was said to be close to committing to at least one more Bond movie, but that’s yet to be confirmed.
According to the press release, details regarding distribution and the film’s cast and director will be unveiled on a later date.
Last we heard, Sony, Warner Bros. and three more studios had entered a bidding war for the distribution rights for future installments of the series. The last four films alone have made a total of $3.5 billion at the worldwide box office.
