Bradley Cooper Didn’t Spoil ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’, James Gunn Responds


While doing press for Burnt, Bradley Cooper was asked about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  In his response, Cooper seemingly reveals that the main villain was Thanos.  He tries to explain his answer.

“What’s his name… the main guy… the Dark-lord.”

Many assumed he was referring to Star-Lord there.  However it becomes clear that he was referring to Thanos as the father to Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) from the first film.

Ever active on social media and engaging with the fans, James Gunn took to Facebook to respond to the rumors and set the record straight.

So I woke up this morning to a thousand posts about Bradley Cooper having revealed that the primary villain in GotG Vol….

So fear not, Cooper didn’t spoil anything according to Gunn.  We already knew Thanos won’t be the main villain.  We also know that Matthew McConaughey recently turned down the role.  As production gears up in Atlanta, additional casting news is sure to come out.
