Matt Nix’s untitled X-Men TV show on FOX, which just got a pilot order the other day, just tapped a big director for the first episode, as Bryan Singer will be directing the series premiere.
Singer is no stranger to the X-Men Universe as he directed the first two installments and then returned for Days of Future Past and Apocalypse. Casting for the two lead characters is reportedly already underway so hopefully we will know soon who the two mystery characters are. Singer is also set to executive produce the series.
“The Untitled Fox Marvel Project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.”
Nix’s creative team consists of X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, director Bryan Singer, X-Men screenwriter, Simon Kinberg, Jim Chory and Marvel TV President Jeph Loeb that will all be serving as Executive Producers on the project. These people are also involved with the FX series, Legion.
