X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has shared a behind-the-scenes on Instagram look at the upcoming film. The cast and crew were working on pick-up shots.
“Okay, here we are on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. Lots of things are happening! Rain, lightning, but something else…” teased Singer.
The look shows three men on a boat, possibly a fishing boat. They are encountering and handling some severe and stormy weather. Speculation is leaning towards Storm/Ororo Munroe (Alexandra Shipp) being behind the stormy weather.
Fans got a more detailed look at some of their favorite X-Men during a Super Bowl trailer that was released. It’s made clear that Apocalypse wants to destroy the world and that the X-Men are the only hope for fighting this war. Fans also got a great look at Olivia Munn’s Psylocke.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016. Apocalypse stars Jennifer Lawerence, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Issac, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner and James McAvoy.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
