In the season two finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, we saw our heroes being forced to break the biggest time travel rule in order to stop the Legion of Doom. Because of their decision, the finale ended on a big cliffhanger where we witnessed the time travelers arriving in a very different 2017, realizing that they have broken the timeline.
Season 3 will feature the team having to put everything back into the right time periods, which is easier said than done. Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance a.k.a. the White Canary, spoke with DC All Access where she gave a few tidbits on the new season. According to Lotz, it’s going to be quite the journey for the team in restoring the timeline throughout Season 3.
“I think this time we’re not gonna see history as we remembered it. Before you’d travel back and history was kind of what it was in the textbooks. Now that we’ve broken time, we can travel anywhere and anything can be crazy.”
Lotz was also asked about things that she would love to see for Sara in the new season. The actress expressed hope in seeing Sara getting a new love relationship with someone special.
“I’d like to see what sort of effects being in charge have on her. I’d like to see her have a good relationship. Not just a fling but a real love relationship would be nice.”
The cast and creative team of the show will be attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in just a few weeks, with production on Season 3 starting later this week. Hopefully, at Comic-Con we’ll learn more about what’s in store in the third season.
“After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara (Caity Lotz) wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nick Heywood (Nick Zano), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.”
Legends Of Tomorrow Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, October 10 at 9/8c on The CW.

8 Reasons Why DC’s TV Shows Are Better Than Marvel’s
While the superheroes are taking turns bringing their A-game to the big screen, the small screen has seen its fair share of superheroes as well. With comic book movies boom being at an all-time high, television series have also arisen to take their place, showing off more heroes in a smaller budget. These series have ranged in quality from being widely loved to widely criticized on both sides of DC and Marvel, but in general it seems as if DC has produced some of the better shows. While Marvel has so far done better on the big screen, DC has taken up the mantle of television dominance. They have created multiple series for different networks and have made some great TV content over the past few years. DC has also out-shined Marvel for several years and with competition increasing, it’s a good time to look at the reasons why that is. Click next to take a look.
