Anthony Mackie Gears Up As Chris Evans’ Captain America Replacement In Cool Image

Anthony Mackie’s Falcon replaces Chris Evans as Captain America in this awesome concept design that imagines the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Endgame concluded with Captain America (played by Chris Evans) choosing to remain in the past and live out the rest his life with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) after returning the Infinity Stones to their place of origin. However, Chris Evans’ Captain America would return from the past as an old man to pass his shield on to Anthony Mackie’s Falcon.

Now, Instagram Artist “sceptre12” has shared a concept design that features Anthony Mackie in a suit similar to his Falcon costume but with Captain America’s red, white and blue color palette. The artist feels that Anthony Mackie’s Falcon should retain his own identity despite Chris Evans’ Captain America naming him as his replacement.

Set after the events of Avengers: EndgameThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier is rumored to center on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as the former finds himself facing resistance from the United States government and its opposition to him taking on the Captain America mantle.

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, The Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent.
