First ‘Cars 3’ Posters Revealed

It’s been a week since the release of the first Cars 3 teaser trailer, a.k.a. Pixar’s most dramatic trailer to date. The sneak peek showed off some gorgeous visuals, but also a horrific car crash involving Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson), which was a pretty big shock considering that Cars is basically Pixar’s most light-hearted series.

Now, Disney and Pixar have unveiled the first official posters for the movie, bringing us right back to that trailer. The first one shows McQueen flipped upside down during the shocking moment along with the tagline, “From This Moment, Everything Will Change,” but the other one fits a bit more with the tone that we’re used to seeing in this franchise.

You can check them out below.

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

Cars 3 opens in theaters on June 16, 2017.
