Central City Revealed To Be Location In ‘Justice League’

Justice League The FlashIt looks like the Justice League will travel to another iconic DC Comics city in the upcoming movie by Zack Snyder. Thanks to a new photo from The British Society of Cinematography, a new set from Justice League was revealed that showed a city limit sign for Central City.

If the pun that appears on another sign in the background that reads “Reduce Speed Ahead” doesn’t immediately hint at who calls Central City home, fans of The Flash TV show on the CW will certainly remember the name Central City as being Barry Allen’s home.

One can assume that this is the setting that Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne will meet Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in the first footage of the film released last year at San Diego Comic-Con. In the scene, Wayne appears to be in the Flash’s headquarters that is likely stationed within Central City and asks him to join the team, to which Allen enthusiastically accepts.

This actually isn’t the first hint of The Flash’s hometown in the DCEU, however. On the Suicide Squad website, a fan found an Easter egg referring to the character Slipknot, who was apparently relocated to Keystone City. Keystone City is the residence of a couple other members of the Flash Family including Jay Garrick, the Golden Age Flash, and Wally West, Barry Allen’s protege and eventual replacement.

Justice League will feature a cast that includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Jason Mamoa as the six revealed members.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
