By the time Marvel enters their fourth phase and makes a new Avengers film, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will most likely have ended on a good run. Yet fans have wonder what will happen to the characters? After so many years of seeing these characters week after week, the idea of the show just ending and never seeing them again feels wrong. While all the members of the team should make the jump to the film the most fitting for the Avengers would be Quake, a.k.a. Daisy Johnson.
Quake is an Inhuman and member of Coulson’s team with the ability to generate Earthquakes. Combine that superpower with her martial arts and spy training received while at S.H.I.E.L.D. along with her hacking abilities and you have a great new member for the team.
Introducing her to the films isn’t as tricky as one would imagine. All the audiences need to know is that she has powers and worked as a spy. The Avengers could recruit her and give a quick rundown of the basics surrounding her and then move on. If audiences like Quake and want to learn more about her, they have the ability to go and rewatch years of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but are not required to in order to understand her in a film. While it seems like a long shot for Quake, or any other Marvel TV characterto make the leap to the big screen, it isn’t entirely unheard of in film. Khan originated in the episode “Space Seed” of Star Trek before Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, another film where audiences didn’t need to see the show to understand the movie. If they could pull that off, Marvel could easily introduce Quake as an Avenger.
