Former ‘Daredevil’ Showrunner Has NSFW Response For Charlie Cox Costume Criticism

Some people have strong opinions about Charlie Cox’s Daredevil costume for his Marvel/Netflix series and former showrunner Steven DeKnight has an equally strong reaction to those who hated on it.

Former Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight recently took to Twitter to talk about an auction for a number of props and costumes for the Marvel Netflix shows. One of the items that was up for sale was the costume that Charlie Cox wore in the final episode of Daredevil season one. DeKnight proudly declared that the costume was on its way back to DeKnight Productions where it belongs, having apparently won it at the auction.

One fan, however, seemed to have hated the Daredevil costume design and took to Twitter to declare that Charlie Cox’s superhero costume belonged in a dumpster fire or even in one of Joel Schumacher’s Batman films. DeKnight responded with two simple words:

It seems that Steven DeKnight is very defensive about Charlie Cox’s Daredevil costume.

Charlie Cox only wore the traditional Daredevil costume in the final episode of the show’s first season. After a lengthy buildup, the costume was revealed during Daredevil’s final confrontation with Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. The Kingpin. The show used this design for the second and third season with slight variations.

What did you all think of Charlie Cox’s outfit in Daredevil? Was it as bad as this fan made it out to be? Is DeKnight right to defend it? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments!

All three seasons of Marvel’s Daredevil starring Charlie Cox are currently available on Netflix.
