On a pure visual standpoint, Marvel and Scott Derrickson really knocked Doctor Strange out of the park. Seeing the attention to detail put into the characters’ costume designs as well as the environments much of the action takes place was awe-inspiring to say the least.
Of course, it takes hundreds and hundreds of extremely creative individuals to bring the spectacle of sorcery right off of the comic panels and onto the big screen. Among these great artists, Ryan Lang is definitely a standout.
Recently, Lang shared some incredible keyframes he created for the latest Marvel hit. As you can see, there are alternate designs featuring Doctor Strange himself (Benedict Cumberbatch), The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen). Suffice it to say, these keyframes are so incredible that if these were made available to purchase, I would buy any of these to personally frame on my wall.
