Warner Bros. has unveiled two brand new TV spots for their next entry in the DC Extended Universe, Suicide Squad. Both spots feature The Sweet’s single, Ballroom Blitz, which was heavily used in the most recent trailer for the upcoming comic book film. Both TV spots really showcase the sheer amount of energy and entertainment that David Ayer surely has in store for audiences come August.
With San Diego Comic Con approaching next month, you can expect to see a heavy presence of the upcoming villains movie throughout the event. The marketing campaign just continues to unravel and each piece of this film that I can take a gander at continuously makes this my most anticipated film of this season. The team dynamic between the entire Task Force X is crucial to this film’s success, and if recent test screening buzz is any indication, we are in for a twisted time at the multiplex.
You can check out the new TV spots below.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, and Adam Beach, Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5.
