Anthony Mackie Gets His Own Captain America Suit To Replace Chris Evans In Awesome New Image

Anthony Mackie dons his very own Captain America suit in this cool fan art that shows the Falcon actor replacing Chris Evans as the star-spangled Avenger.

Avengers: Endgame saw Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans) pass on the shield and mantle of Captain America to his friend Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie), retiring from his life as a superhero. Anthony Mackie is now set to reprise his role as Sam Wilson in the upcoming Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Kari Skoglan is reportedly directing all six episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier from scripts written by Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad. The series is expected to begin filming this fall and feature Anthony Mackie succeeding Chris Evans as the new Captain America for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it may be a while before we get an official look at Anthony Mackie in his Captain America suit, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining what the 40-year-old actor will look like replacing Chris Evans in the role. You can check out what Anthony Mackie could look like as Chris Evans’ Captain America replacement below.

Plot details for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are being kept under wraps. But the series will reportedly center on the U.S. Government’s opposition to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson replacing Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers as Captain America. Captain America: Civil War actor Daniel Bruhl is set to reprise his role as Baron Zemo in the series.

Anthony Mackie was last seen opposite Chris Evans’ Captain America in the Marvel Studios epic Avengers: Endgame. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Meanwhile, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is scheduled for a Fall 2020 release on Disney Plus. Stay tuned the latest news on Anthony Mackie, Chris Evans and the future of the MCU!
